Aquarelle – watercolor on Fabriano 300g/m², 17 x 23 cm

• Le Ventoux est encore bien enneigé – ça fait 30 ans qu’il n’y avait pas autant de neige sur la montagne – mais le printemps est arrivé avec les amandiers en fleur. Une raison de plus de terminer l’hibernation et de se remettre à peindre dans la nature.

• Mont Ventoux is still snow-covered (30 years since there was so much snow) but spring is here now with almond trees blooming all around. One more reason to stop hibernation, go outdoors and paint en plein air.

• Der Mont Ventoux ist noch schön weiß – seit 30 Jahren hatte es nicht mehr so viel Schnee hier – aber der Frühling ist nicht mehr aufzuhalten, die Mandelbäume blühen überall. Ein Grund mehr, den Winterschlaf zu beenden und zum Malen ins Freie zu gehen.

• La même chapelle en format paysage sans la forte dominance verticale de la première version. Mais je sens qu’il manque un peu d’ocre jaune pour chauffer l’atmosphère.

• The same chapel in landscape format without the strong vertical dominance of the first version. But I feel there is some yellow ochre missing to warm up the atmosphere.

• Dieselbe Kapelle im Querformat ohne die starke vertikale Dominanz der ersten Version. Aber ich habe das Gefühl es fehlt noch etwas gelber Ocker um die Atmosphäre aufzuwärmen.
