• Hier en manque d’élèves au cours du vendredi je suis allé aux « Baux » de Bedoin, charmant petit hameau au flanc sud du mont Ventoux pour faire quelques esquisses et cueillir une poignée de cerises.

• No students this Friday so I went to “Les Baux”, charming little hamlet near Bedoin, nestled on the flank of Mont Ventoux to make some sketches and pick some cherries.

• Mangels Malschüler ging ich am gestrigen Freitag nach „Les Baux“ einem charmanten kleinen Weiler, der zur Kommune von Bedoin gehört und sich an die Südflanke des Mont Ventoux anschmiegt, um ein paar Skizzen zu machen und eine handvoll Kirschen zu pflücken

• This one is mute (let the colours sing!); here is one with a nice sound .

Aquarelle – watercolour on Canson Fontenay 300 g/m², 32 x 20 cm

• Reflets sur une surface mouillée sont très intéressants pour l’aquarelliste. Non seulement la forme réfléchie est répétée, elle est en plus inversée et souvent déformée et différente en valeur tonale (plus claire ou plus foncée). Un outil formidable de composition.

• Reflections on a wet surface are very interesting for the watercolor painter. Not only the original shape is repeated, it is inverted as well and often distorted and lighter or darker in value. A great tool of composition.

• Objekte, die sich auf einer feuchten Oberfläche spiegeln, sind sehr interessant für den Aquarellisten. Die ursprüngliche Form wiederholt sich nicht nur seitenverkehrt im Bild, sondern ist oft auch verzerrt und hat einen anderen (helleren oder dunkleren) tonalen Wert. Ein wertvolles Kompositionselement.
